The Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue Team was called out three times in 24 hours over the weekend, as walkers and climbers found themselves in need of assistance in Snowdonia. Two of the incidences were on Tryfan where a man and teenager became stuck on Friday night and a woman could not descend on Saturday.
In Saturday's rescue a helicopter was deployed from RAF Valley on the Isle of Anglesey in order to help a woman off a ledge after her two climbing partners managed to come down the mountain and raise the alarm.
The woman was winched to safety and all those who were attended to by the team are safe and sound and down from the mountains.
Formed in the autumn of 1964 after the rescue of John Glews by an impromptu group of associates, the rescue team is made up of volunteers and relies on donations to fund its important work.
