Walking Socks are as equally important as the shoe or boot. Treat yourself to some of Regatta's socks. They are extremely comfortable and hard wearing. I am a keen skier and the best sock I have worn is the Men's Classic Long Sock, it comes all the way to the top of the ski boot, it is warm, thick and hard wearing. Mine haven't shrunk in the wash either.
