Ffion Pritchard's mother is a keen hill walker and climber and has taken her daughter on her first ascent of a rock face strapped to her back.Menna Pritchard had her daughter in a carrier on her back throughout the climb at Three Cliffs Bay, which is situated on the Gower Peninsular.
There was an experienced climber and mountain leader among their group, which gave Ms Pritchard the confidence to carry Ffion with her.
She was attached to the rock face at all times by rope and once she decided she was up high enough was safely lowered to the ground.
Ms Pritchard said: "I'm keen to get out as much as possible with her. I'm passionate about the outdoors, want to share it with her and will fully support her if it's something she wants to get more into as she grows up."
Three Cliffs Bay is a favourite spot of Welsh singer Katherine Jenkins, who has spent much time there with her family and described it as giving her the feeling of being hugged.
