A woman with MS is to don her ski wear and head to the slopes next winter despite the fact that her condition means she is confined to a wheelchair.Sally Hyder has described herself as an adrenaline junkie and been undertaking a series of challenges before the MS means she will not be able to take part in such physical activities, reports STV.
She told the news provider: "I know that the memory of the experience and the other exciting things I’ve had will help me through those dark days when I am feeling low."
The charity Disability Snow Sport is to aid her in her attempt to hit the ski slopes next year in her wheelchair.
In the summer Ms Hyder achieved the summit of Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in Britain, in a motorised wheelchair as part of her list of 50 things to do before she turned 50.
Disability Snow Sport has been providing skiing experiences for those with disabilities since 1976.
