11/06/2009 17:57
Nature enthusiasts looking to put on their summer clothing to help the environment as well as their health may wish to head to Cornwall this June.

A Health and Environment Day will be taking place on June 21st at the Goss Moor National Nature Reserve in Cornwall, where "a whole host of events have been planned", organisers said.

Health walks will be offered as well as activities such as willow weaving, bike rides and flying displays.

The events will be happening at the Screech Owl Sanctuary and the seven-mile circular Goss trail.

Food will also be available on the midsummer's day, with healthy cooking demonstrations and conservation beef burgers up for grabs as part of the event.

Goss Moor is the largest surviving area of the Mid-Cornwall Moors and it is a 489 hectare National Nature Reserve.

Children looking to get involved in the activities may wish to try out the Regatta Splashdown children's walking sandals.
