People of Leeds have been invited to join the stars of Yorkshire soap opera Emmerdale on the Well Walk event. The 7.5 mile charity walk, in aid of Diabetes UK, will take place on April 26th around Temple Newsam.
"The grounds of Temple Newsam are beautiful and this gentle seven-and-a-half mile walk will show families that maintaining a healthy lifestyle can be enjoyable," said actor Patrick Mower - who plays Rodney Blackstock in the soap - to the Yorkshire Evening Post.
Mower will be joined by co-star Duncan Preston - who plays Doug Potts - on the 75th anniversary of the Well Walk.
According to Diabetes UK, there are presently more than 2.5 million people affected by the condition in Britain and it is estimated more than half a million people have diabetes and are not aware of it.
Amblers wishing to join the Yorkshire walk may want to wear something like the Regatta Leyland men's three-quarter length trousers to keep them cool and comfortable.
