Midnight half marathon seeks women in Worthing to take part

05/05/2009 16:16
Women of Worthing are being called upon to don their walking shoes for a Night to Remember in aid of the St Barnabas House hospice.

The midnight walk will take place in June and participants will complete a half-marathon hike along the seafront and through the streets of the town.

"Last year's walk was amazing and we would like to see even more wonderful women walking for St Barnabas this year," said Tanya Leedham, event organiser, to the Worthing Herald.

Around 1,000 women raised close to £200,000 in the event last year and this year's organisers hope to reach £225,000, the official website claims.

St Barnabas House treats adults with progressive life-limiting illnesses and offers a range of services and treatments to patients in their own homes and at the hospice. It provides support for friends and family as well as nursing care and complementary therapy such as physiotherapy and beauty treatments.

Women taking part may wish to look at the Jack Murphy KATHY ladies casual cropped trousers in pink.
