Kids Base Layers & Thermals

Breathable thermals and baselayers are an essential item of clothing for winter sports such as skiing and snowboarding that will keep children warm and comfortable without restricting movement.

Keep on breathing; High wicking for optimal comfort

Trekwear’s selection of kids’ baselayers and kids’ thermals are designed to stay dry and comfortable in both warm and cold weather. Baselayers do not stop perspiration, but are high wicking. This means that they draw moisture away from the skin so it can then evaporate to keep you dry and comfortable. This helps to avoid odour and chaffing during activity.

Thermal Underwear

We stock a variety of children’s base layers and thermals with the latest technologies from trusted outdoor brands such as:

  • Dare 2b
  • Head
  • Regatta
  • Trespass

Stay cool

Base layers promote ease of movement and essential thermo-regulation, making them an important layer for active sports in hot and cold climates alike. So whether taking part in winter sports, or just running, cycling or hiking baselayers play an important role in a layered clothing system.

  • Thermo-regulation
  • Moisture wicking
  • Flexible
  • Low friction

A range of styles to choose from

We sell baselayer pants and leggings of varying lengths, and both long sleeved baselayer tops and short sleeved baselayer tops. Our kids’ thermals and baselayers are flexible, quick drying, lightweight and high wicking.

You can choose a fully synthetic base layer or one made with natural merino wool. Merino wool base layers are not only high wicking, but also naturally anti-bacterial, so the fabric stays fresher for longer. Many synthetic base layers also have built in anti-bacterial control too. We have great prices on both merino wool base layers and fully synthetic base layers.
