Buckinghamshire is getting geared up for the rhythm of walking boots as the second year of the Princes Risborough Walking Festival draws closer. Each guided walk during the festival will have a different theme and they will all start and end in the town centre, event organisers have said.
Across the two full days of the festival - Saturday June 13th and Sunday June 14th - some 12 walks will be offered to visitors.
A maximum of 20 to 25 people will be able to join in each of the rambles, but last year was very popular and so booking is recommended, a spokesperson for the Risborough Countryside Group advised.
"There's a family walk on the Sunday, which is with the district council's countryside rangers. They are doing a wildlife trail and activities and games for the children," she added.
Princes Risborough is situated in between the Vale of Aylesbury and the Chiltern Hills on the westerly side of Buckinghamshire.
Outdoor-lovers interested in taking part at the weekend may wish to look at the Oakley Tactical Six men's walking boots.
