The trek between Seathwaite and Scafell Pike has been named the most popular of 20 British walks selected by a newspaper. From a list of 20 brilliant rambles in the UK complied by the Times, the six-hour walk in the Lake District has been the most viewed on the paper's website.
"It is doubtful that anywhere in the world has a nation found so much that is genuinely rugged on such a modest lump of granite and looked after it so well," said columnist Giles Whittell.
More than 50,000 people have viewed the walk since the weekend (April 18th), which offers views from England's highest mountain.
The Isle of Man can be seen from the summit of Scafell Pike and WalkingBritain.com claims it is "the most scenic route" in the Lakes.
However, the walk is graded hard at 9.3 miles long and is for the more experienced walker.
Those wishing to tackle the summit of England and bare the unpredictable weather of the Lake District may wish to consider the versatility of Cragghopper zip-off trousers.
